Monogram!

A while ago I created this Monogram in my head while trying to sleep.

Its the capital I intertwined with the capital H, and I really like the fact that it has this Escher thing about it...

the story of being too long....

Woooohoooo! I joined an illustration contest for McSweeney's (a veeeery cool publisher). We all where given a book we had to fill with our work, and than on the day of the jury, we had to finish the cover. Real-life-action working and being judged on the same time... makes you pee your pants! which luckily I didn't. 

This was my cover:

It's a story about a man who wakes up having way too long arms and legs, which puts him in very awkward situations. So that explains the title... Unfortunately I didn't win, the one who won really deserved it, though it was a looooot of fun to do!

A different World

A little while ago photographer Joost van der Neut asked me if i could edit a photoshoot he had done in NYC. One of the goals was to make the model look unrecognicable... and so i did... these are some results i did with them:

And i just had to share these following pictures with you, it's when i began to have a lot of fun with my scanner, as i transformed her into a totally new species. Some photo's even became quite freaky.....

But finally it became something completely different, you can see the real end result on the website of the photographer.

FCX

I'm very proud to show you all a logo i made for a really cool booking agency called FCX of a good friend of mine.
And the logo hasn't been quiet in de meantime. It had a little evolution, because now its moving and making sound! The movements is the work of the icelandic supergenius Ninna Þórarinsdóttir and the sound is made by the fantastic 'Classic Brothers', who make really good music by the way.

Birth

To announce to you the birth of a new modelling agency, Girls Girls Girls and a Boy!

It has been a while ago when i made this logo, but now its getting for real....
Right at this moment people are working extremely hard on a total new and very experimental website,
till that moment you can have a sneek peek on facebook, allowing you to see some of the prettiest faces seen so far.

As you can see this very famous dog stood model for the invitation flyer I made in collaboration with Marieke Berghuis.

The reason of the flyer was a 10 years anniversairy of our friends (Wouter & Sophie), and we decided their pets (the byproduct of being 10 years together) where predestined to be the theme of the party obviously!

Here you see the party.

HysteriAge

I was asked by Lupe (DJ, and organisator from several famous partys like UNK and Italo Elite and winner of several gouden kabouters) to make the logo for his newest party & concept....
HysteriAge!

I wanted a crossover from
strict/outbursing
normal/hysterical
liniar/fluid
just to get the message clear that your going to face a hysterical party

Bio Mac

Okay this is my dream that I want to come true, Micky D going Green....
I silkscreenprinted fabric and with that i remade the Happy Meal, so it now it is really happy.

Before that i did lots of tests with different brands that are most unlikely to ever go green. I think the ecological bussines (almost always) has an awful taste in design and looks, so mixing it with luxurious brands or cheap fast food symbols gets two extremes together.

HER HER HER is een serie van 3 installaties gebaseerd op een fotoshoot, de eerste werkt met plastic, de tweede met papier, de derde met licht.

FIETSENSTALLING II

HANG OVER is een serie papier-installaties, het is een vervolg op de techniek van mijn experimentele 3D eindexamen posters (''Monsterious'', verschijnt binnenkort ook op deze site). Schaduw en licht spelen bij dit werk een hele grote rol.
